In celebration of the the hundreds of workcamps that have been happening over the past months, we have decided to launch a photo competition, so we can update our facebook page with your best moments and that’s not all! There are plenty of ways that you can get involved with SCI in the coming month, join the International Day of Peace, make a pledge for the planet, or apply for the position of Project Officer!
Feel free to send your feedback or any contributions for the next edition of the E-Zine.

International Youth Day 2016

The theme chosen for this year was “The Road to 2030: Eradicating Poverty and Achieving Sustainable Production and Consumption”. It was focused on how young people are ensuring poverty eradication and achieving sustainable development through sustainable production and consumption. Events for celebrating the day took place all over the world. Our volunteers at the International Secretariat prepared their own action. Learn about the action here.

Into the Hills with Che Guevara

Che Guevara waited for me under the trees, I could see him from my seat in the garden of the small rural tavern that we had stopped at for lunch. Pledge for the Planet

That's it. Today we've used as much from nature as our planet can renew in the whole year and it's only August. We use more ecological resources and services than nature can regenerate through overfishing, overharvesting forests and emitting more carbon dioxide into the atmosphere than forests can sequester. We must take immediate action and help reverse the trend of overshooting our planet’s resources”. Did you take part on #pledgefortheplanet campaign. We did! We keep the International Secretariat office meat free! Read more.
