Green Workcamp in Switzerland
In Kloten, the airport changed a small farming village to a multicultural suburbia. In the centre, there are still bits of green land. The Hegnerhof, formerly a farm, organizes cultural events and translates old agricultural knowledge into social community actions. More information here.
My first Peace Messengers Course

A volunteer with history
Wilbert Helsloot started volunteering for SCI in 1993. After an impressive work camp in a refugee camp in Croatia during the war in Yugoslavia he started a long time commitment for conflict resolution. Read more here.

Another piece of SCI history: “Les Sours du Service Civil”, a booklet issued 80 years ago by the one and only SCI Secretariat in Bern. It shows what used to be the women’s role in the international voluntary service, which was established as an alternative to military service. Read more.
